ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Miss Aniela blurs the line between fine art and fashion. In What He Bequeathed, this notion is taken quite literally. The moody photography focuses on a young woman in a gold military jacket and long, tiered grey skirt, with floral motifs and gold accents. She is standing in front of a lit fireplace. Just above it is a painting. It depicts a small watercraft, full of people. As the violent waves seek to overturn it, water smashes out painting and into the room.
